Rats.

Oh tis Sunday night and I am OVER it, officially like.  Family member number four has come down with the gastro and I am fairly certain my entire house must smell like a combination of poop and vomit.  Nice.

Add to this, my husband informed me this evening that the stain on our loungeroom roof that we thought was rain leaking through the roof tiles, is not actually rain.

It is a dead, decomposing rat.

Now, anyone want to come over for coffee and cake this week?

(how could I possible include a picture with this post???  What on earth would it be of???)

A blatant bid for sympathy

I am sick.  I have no voice.  I am too sick to even look at the three blocks of Cadbury residing in my fridge.  I am on drugs but they haven't kicked in yet.  I am solo parenting till Friday whilst I feel like dying.  This morning I sobbed uncontrollably whilst making my children's lunches.  I should not have driven them to school, creche and kinder in my current state.  I cried on the kinder teacher's shoulder but could not tell her what was wrong because I have no voice.  On top of everything else, I am also having my period.

I will completely understand if you now wish to run screaming for the hills for fear of catching anything.  And I apologise profusely for mentioning my period.

This week I'm grateful for...

I normally link in with Maxabella loves... grateful posts on Saturdays.  But I am struggling to feel grateful this monring as I have been dealing with 12 hours straight of vomit from my small girl.  Awful to watch, worse to clean.

Unfortunately this was not the bathroom that I was forced to spend some quality time in over the last 24 hours! The dreaded lurgy has hit out house and has made its way around all of us - except my husband! I swear he must have an iron stomach given what we had to deal with last night. Our big boy was sick for most of our little boys birthday, I got sick not long after my stint on kinder duty, and our poor baby girl came down with it last night and spent most of the night throwing up in our bed! 13 towels later and at 3am we were all done. I have spent most of today washing masses of bed linen and towels and madly disinfecting everyting I could get my hands on. I did come to the realisation that when you are sick, with your head over the toilet bowl, even at 35, you still just want your mum.
