LMNOP

Guess what I am about to go and read!? Thank goodness for laptops I say - feels like I can still veg out in front of the tv at night while 'flicking' through some favourite mazagines! I also have the Big W toy bible sitting next to me with many dog eared pages from the little boys. Think I may have to start on the one toy in, one toy out policy in this house as we are starting to get overrun!
You can download your copy of LMNOP here.

Is it really an open or shut case?

Do you have a door open or a door shut policy at your house? I grew up in a door open house and as one of 3 sisters, this was kinda easy to deal with (except for poor dad, I'm sure). The door open policy appears to have continued in my grown up house although not really by choice! The small people like to know what mummy is doing at EVERY moment, particularly the tiniest one. Do you need toilet paper mummy? Can I flush the button mummy - praps even before you are finished? Can I spray the toilet spray? Whack you with a toilet brush perhaps? Rifle through your tampon drawer spreading them up the hallway for unsuspecting visitors to come across?!
What are your loo rules?

Feeling technological

See my new blog badge over there for the envelope project??? I'm posting my envelope tomorrow! What's in it you might ask - well, that would be telling but keep your eyes peeled in Pip's window for a boring yellow envelope that I tried to pretty up with some of my lovely babushka tape!

Point and Shoot

I'm joining in Fatmumslim's point and shoot. This lovely lady writes such a beautiful blog. Why don't you pop over and check it out.
The little poppet in red on the left had just finished her baby cino on Mailing Rd with mummy and Grandma, Kate and baby Maya and everyone knows that the only way to finish off coffee with the ladies is a quick ride on a pony!

In my tummy...

I've just finished eating a rather large serving of apple crumble. Can you really go past it as a dessert on cold, rainy Melbourne nights? No, I think not. Particulalry those crunchy edge pieces where the juice of the apple pops up through the crumble and makes this chewy, toffee like yummyness! I like to eat mine really hot with a big plop of ice-cream on top so that it melts and runs everywhere and you get that mixture of 'goodness me burning mouth' immediately followed by the relief of cooling vanilla ice-cream.
How do you have yours?

Oh my....

Where does the time go? My big boy finished his second term of Prep today and came home bearing his first school report and his first official school photos! His report says lovely things about him which is nice too.
And just for a lark, here is his mummy and daddy when they were in Prep too.

Some etsy love

I really haven't know about etsy for long, maybe 12 months. Sounds ridiculous really, but secretly, I am not very crafty and it just seems like such a crafty place! So when I was planning my baby girls first birthday party last year and entered 'babushka' into the search box, oh my, what a find. Look at these beautiful ladies from Fantastic Toys ...

And you dont even have to be very crafty to make them. You buy a pdf document which is emailed to you and you can print and fold the gorgeous girls yourself!

Yay! This is what I'll be reading tonight - during the ad breaks on Glee of course!

Facing the fear

With school holidays fast approaching I have been on the hunt for ideas to keep the smalls entertained. Buttons by Lou Lou have directed me to the grooviest little persons craft website, kids craft weekly. Go take a peek at their printable patterns! Me thinks the little boys of the house might like the paper plate dinosaurs, especially given Isaac's current addiction to the Dinosaur Play School DVD!!!

Quite the joiner...

Yes! I have finally taken the leap!

First task – joining Mamamia's bookclub. Why don't you do it too. Then we'd all have something to talk about.
