This week I'm grateful for...

  • autumn colours on the trees outside my kitchen window
  • new playgrounds with skateparks suitable for small people
  • big bike helmets on little heads
  • lovely blog commentors
  • babies that fall asleep on shoulders at school pick up
  • broccolini
  • fresh magazines
  • the crafty section of the library
  • my mum's homemade quince jelly
  • the ability of Foxtel to tape my favourite shows so I can watch them all on Friday nights when everyone else goes to bed
  • sneaky Mills and Boon reading in the car
  • chunky crochet hooks and lovely soft wool
  • double pineapple freddo frogs from the fundraising box
  • wine (!!!)
  • the ability I now have of making things as gifts instead of buying things
  • discovering the last mini magnum in the freezer

  1. LOVE your list! Especially finding the last magnum in the freezer, this one is even better than finding a $50 note in the bottom of your handbag (which happened to me once but I have never found the last magnum)

Oh and yes, please feel free to copy me in being grateful for 7.14pm!

  2. Two standouts for me tonight: "Big bike helmets on little heads" - oh yes!

And... "double pineapple freddo frogs " - say what? Why have I never encountered a pineapple freddo frog? That is SO not right! I buy those Snack big family bars just to get the pineapple ones. There's a whole Freddo?!

  4. Lovely list. Magazines, reading in the car, autumn colours, blog comments ... yep, all cherished here too!
And certainly grateful for wine. I'm not much of a drinker but was feeling celebratory Thurs night and hit the hard stuff - two scotch and cokes later I felt like I'd dipped my head in cement! What a wuss. Next time I'm sticking with my light white wine :)
