My creative space... Pippy Crochet

My undying love for my newsagent continued this week when he made sure that one of only three copies of Mollie Makes he recieved had my name on it.  Bliss and Joy.

And look who I found perched merrily in it's covers...

Perfect timing to be reading about her, cause I am currently following her fabulous tutorial and making my first ripple rug.  Pip writes the perfect instructions for crochet - really clear and easy to follow.  I learnt to crochet granny squares from her videos.

I've only done a couple of rows so far and I'm just using some yarn from my stash.  I hadn't crocheted anything in a couple of weeks and my hands were getting itchy!  I needed a project that lets me sit in front of my favourite tv shows and still feel productive and this is perfect.

Oh, and we are still cutting out lego men for the Lego party of the century!  This is a big pad of coloured paper ready for Lego men to be cut out of and hidden around the backyard for a bit of Lego Search and Rescue.  Tell me that might keep 20 little people entertained for more than five minutes please???

  1. OMG! I'm so in love with your newsagent.. I wish mine was as sweet as yours!

  2. Um, der, why exactly was i not following you before?? I think my followingness keeps falling off people's blogs!!
Great magazine, i accidentally bought one & received my subscription, so i'll have one to give away on my blog, yahoo, love Posie

  3. I am new to your blog... and I must tell you that when I saw the image in your header of that fantastically colourful crocheted blanket my heart skipped! Pure delight! I'm in awe!

The ripple blanket is on my list of must dos. I too love to watch tele as I hook... I can't watch it anymore if I don't have something to do.

  4. Ooh, i've been hoping to make a crocheted blanket, love it!

  5. Lego search and rescue sounds awesome! And your new project looks fab too! Can't wait to see the end product :o) xo

  6. Ah! I learn't how to crochet from Pip's tute too! And once I finish my Granny Square blanket I'll be on to the ripple rug - when I read her pattern it made me feel like I know what I'm doing! She's awesome - & she gets an extra 10 points for being a Pip like my daughter! PS. your blanket in your header looks pretty awesome!xx

Welcome poppets! I'd love to hear what you have to say so please dont go without saying it!
